Spintop
A DeFi platform that looks like a game, because for its players it is one.
Spintop needed a launch film for a product that is genuinely hard to explain: a decentralized finance platform built entirely around blockchain gaming. A trading exchange, an NFT marketplace, a guild-building tool and a game directory, all under one token. Most launch films for this kind of product default to screen recordings and chart animations. We went the other way.
We built a single character and let him carry the whole platform. He steps through a portal, walks into a guild hall, opens a marketplace stall in the middle of nowhere, and every feature becomes a place he visits rather than a menu he clicks. Trading tokens, discovering games, renting NFTs: all staged as things that happen to him, in a world that looks like the RPGs Spintop’s own users already play.
The character went through several passes before the final look landed: the boards show the early face studies, the walk cycle, the fall into the portal. Once the design was locked, we built out the style frames scene by scene, then took it into 3D for camera blocking before final animation.

Building a world out of one character
Every feature of the platform became a place, not a screen. The character's journey through that world is what turns a DeFi product into a launch film worth watching.
Illustration
The character and every environment he moves through, designed flat and graphic so they'd read instantly, even midair.
3D Camera
Camera blocking done in three dimensions before final animation, so every portal and guild hall has real depth to move through.
Motion Design
The interface elements — token trades, NFT cards, marketplace listings — animated as objects in the world, not overlays on top of it.
