30 MIN DELIVERY
Short film, 2026

Synopsis

A rainy night in Istanbul. An order drops at Kemal Usta’s lahmacun shop in Kadıköy: two lahmacuns, thirty minutes. A counter appears in the corner of the frame and stays there. The courier takes the box and rides out, and an ordinary delivery turns into an action film.

Approach

The film is built on a single idea: treat a thirty-minute food delivery with the seriousness of an action thriller and never wink at the audience. No dialogue, no voiceover, no jokes in the performance. The feeling comes entirely from the gap between the scale of the filmmaking and the smallness of what is at stake.

The scene on the bridge is the reason the film exists. It comes from something couriers in Istanbul actually talk about: in high crosswinds, truck drivers will move alongside a motorcycle to break the wind for them. It is a small, unspoken act of solidarity between two people who will never meet again.

Production

Instead of illustrating a film frame by frame, we design and lock a set of assets first: locations, character sheets, wardrobe, vehicles, props, down to the sticker on the helmet and the plate on the scooter. Everything that has to stay consistent is approved before a single shot is generated, and the film is then built from those references. This keeps faces, colour, wardrobe, vehicles and set continuity stable across every cut, and turns a revision into a change to one reference instead of a regeneration of dozens of frames.
